Conrich area residents have nearby access to community and recreation facilities in Chestermere and Calgary.
The County has seven electoral divisions, and a councillor represents each division.
Conrich is serviced by Langdon Fire Station 111 which is a volunteer station providing fire coverage for the southeast area of the County.
Inter-municipal agreements are also in place with the City of Calgary to service the area.

Conrich is named after two real estate developers: Connacher and Richardson. It was initially used as a flag stop for the railway, using a box car as the first rail station.
In 1913 a platform was constructed to provide farmers a place to load their grain instead of hauling it to Calgary. It was no longer necessary to manually load grain in 1918 as the Independent Grain Company elevator was established. A school was built in Conrich in 1955 to replace Rockland, Glenville and Buttes Schools.
In 2011, ground breaking began in Conrich for the 680 acre CN Calgary Logistics Park.

Water
The County's East Balzac water system is being developed to service the area. A water system services Cambridge Estates, and some areas are serviced through private water wells.
