Utility Rates

2026 Utility Rate Update

Effective January 1, 2026, new water and wastewater rates will take effect for Rocky View County customers.

These updates, approved by Council, reflect inflationary adjustments only. The increase helps the County maintain reliable service, complete system improvements, and manage the rising costs of delivering safe, sustainable utilities.

A balanced cost recovery model for water and wastewater services is currently being developed and will be considered next year.

What’s Changing

  • New water and wastewater rates take effect January 1, 2026.
  • The adjustment reflects inflation and higher operational costs such as power, materials, and maintenance.
  • Rates continue to be below balanced cost recovery levels while work continues on a long-term utility funding strategy.
  • Customers will see the updated rates on their first 2026 utility bill.

Why It Matters

Rocky View County is committed to providing safe, reliable, and sustainable water and wastewater services for residents and businesses.
Rate adjustments help:

  • Maintain essential infrastructure and equipment
  • Support consistent water quality and service reliability
  • Keep utility systems financially sustainable over time

Updates will be provided here as they become available. For questions, contact Utility Services at utilities@rockyview.ca or call 403-230-1401.
