In addition to contacting family and friends, one of your first phone calls should be to a licensed funeral home. Funeral homes provide expertise and guidance during this very difficult time. Among other things, funeral homes can help with:
- transporting the body
- obtaining a death certificate
- selecting a casket or urn
- arranging the funeral, memorial service and burial service
- preparing the obituary
- helping to notify the deceased's employer, attorney, insurance company and banks
- offering grief support or directing you to other services
While the Rocky View County cemetery services does not arrange funerals, we do have a chapel and crematorium which is leased to a local company, Choice Memorial Cremation and Funeral Services.
Below is a small list, for reference, of companies and contact information that may be valuable to you when planning a funeral. Please contact them directly for more information on the services they provide.
