Cambridge Park came alive with music, fun, and culture on Sunday afternoon as hundreds gathered for the community’s annual Summer Fest.
Hosted by the Cambridge Park Homeowners Association, the event brought neighbours together for an afternoon of family-friendly activities, local vendors, cultural performances, and community connection.
The scent of samosas, pakora, pizza, and other foods filled the air as families explored the park, greeted each other, and made new memories together.
Children enjoyed jumping through a giant bouncy castle obstacle course, getting their faces painted, and racing to get a seat in a lively game of musical chairs.
Rocky View County Reeve Sunny Samra, Division 1 Councillor Kevin Hanson, Chestermere-Strathmore MLA Chantelle de Jonge, Calgary-Falconridge MLA Parmeet Singh Boparai, and Calgary Skyview MP Amanpreet S. Gill were among the dignitaries in attendance.
“Events like Cambridge Park Summer Fest are a wonderful reminder of what makes our communities so strong,” said Reeve Samra. “It was great to see neighbours, families, volunteers, and local leaders come together to celebrate culture, connection, and community pride. Thank you to the Cambridge Park Homeowners Association and everyone who helped make this event such a success.”
As part of the day’s festivities, Reeve Samra and Councillor Hanson also recognized local athlete Fateh Singh Ranu, who represented Canada at the 2026 United World Games in Austria this past June after earning a place on the U15 Team Canada Ball Hockey roster.
“On behalf of Rocky View County, we are very proud of Fateh and this incredible accomplishment,” said Reeve Samra. “Representing Canada on an international stage takes dedication, discipline, and tremendous community support. Fateh’s achievement is an inspiration to young athletes across the County, and we look forward to seeing all that he continues to accomplish.”
Fateh's parents accepted the award on his behalf.
