The Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) program provides funding to non-profit organizations that enhance the social well-being of individuals and families in Rocky View County.
No applications are accepted once all funds are allocated.

General FCSS Funding Large ($10,000 and over)

General FCSS Funding Small (under $10,000)
- Closed
- For ongoing programs that address local needs through established programming and proven outcomes.
Special Project Funding ($7,500 and under)
- Closed will open in early 2026
- For one-time, short-term, or capacity-building projects.

Funding is for programs starting January 1, 2026 or later of the subsequent year and must be spent within the same year.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be
- A registered non-profit serving Rocky View County residents
Not eligible
- Individuals
- For-profit groups or businesses
Funding cannot be used for
- Recreation
- Public health transportation
- Direct assistance (money, food, clothing, shelter)
- Rehabilitation
- Duplication of services provided by other government agencies
Application Requirements
- Help people develop independence, strengthen coping skills, and become more resistant to crisis.
- Help people develop an awareness of social needs.
- Help people develop interpersonal and group skills to enhance constructive relationships.
- Help people and communities assume responsibility for decisions and actions affecting them.
- Promote, encourage, and facilitate volunteer involvement.
- Provide supports that help people remain active participants in the community.
Application Timeline for 2025 General FCSS Funding Large and Small
- September 18, 2025 – Applications submitted by end of day
- September to November 2025 – Application reviewed for completeness, eligibility, and are in accordance with the County’s FCSS Bylaw [PDF/330KB]
- December 2025 – Decisions are communicated
- January 2026 – A Memorandum of Understanding is signed, and first quarterly payment issued. Remaining payments in April, July and October
- January 2027 – Final program/project report due to the FCSS Coordinator
Special Project Funding Timeline
Follows a similar process to General Funding, but timelines depend on when the application is received. Only one cheque for the full amount is issued.
