Electoral Divisions

Learn what electoral division you are a part of.

An electoral division or district is a geographic area that a county uses to divide areas for election purposes, based on the number of people who live there. From 2000 to the 2021 Municipal Election, Rocky View County had nine Electoral Divisions.

Following a comprehensive review of the County Electoral Divisions, Council passed a new bylaw in October 2020, that reduced the number of councillors from nine to seven, and redrew electoral divisions to better balance the number of people in each and ensure everyone’s voice is equal.

New division boundaries and the new Electoral Boundaries and Council Composition Bylaw [PDF/0.9MB] took effect with the October 2021 Municipal Election.
