On May 6, 2025, Council directed Administration to craft a Terms of Reference to initiate a land use plan for the South Glenmore area to provide statutory policy guidance for planning and development decisions.
On December 9, 2025, Council approved the Terms of Reference to initiate work on the South Glenmore Area Redevelopment Plan and accompanying budget adjustment for Phase One of the project. Phase One of the project will consist of Administration completing internal research and before going to the community to discuss potential options to address the concerns within the area
Next Steps
An open house for the South Glenmore Area Redevelopment Plan has been scheduled for April 9, 2026 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in The Track Golf Course Events Building (333 Boulder Creek Drive, Langdon, AB). The open house will be structured to allow the community to provide their comments on the key considerations within the area, as well as to have conversations with staff. No RSVP is necessary and light refreshments will be available.
