Springhill Transfer Site

This location is a Transfer Site. Transfer sites are large areas that are designed to collect many items such as recycling, ag materials, and household waste. When household waste is dropped off, these sites require payment or the use of tag-a-bag tickets.

Saturday:
9:00 am-5:00 pm (Spring/Summer Hours: Apr. 1 – Oct. 31) 9:00 am-5:00 pm (Winter Hours: Nov. 1 - Mar. 31)

Accepted Materials

  • Bagged waste (1 tag-a-bag ticket per bag)
  • Newsprint
  • Mixed Paper
  • Glass
  • Cardboard
  • Plastic
  • Metal (small items only)
  • Grain bags (must be rolled and secured with twine)
  • Wire (must be rolled and free of non-metal items)
  • Plastic twine (must be free of debris and in clear bags)
  • Tires (with or without rims)

Now accepting organic materials:

  • Food, including peels and meat bones
  • Chopsticks, popsicle sticks, and toothpicks
  • Pizza boxes
  • Paper towels and tissues
  • Pet food
  • Paper plates and napkins
  • Compostable straws and cutlery
  • Coffee filters and tea bags
  • Grease, oils, sauces

Notes

You can purchase tag-a-bag tickets at Branched Out Nursery (seasonally), and at County Hall or other County Chuck Wagons or transfer sites.
