UPDATE: Thursday, August 8, 2024
As we continue to navigate through this unspeakable tragedy for our County, the outpouring of support and care from our residents and neighboring municipalities have made a significant difference to the family and friends of our colleague Colin Hough.
“The solidarity shown by our community has been truly touching and is helping us cope with this profound loss,” expressed Reeve Crystal Kissel. “All of the support has reminded us of the strength that comes from unity and compassion.”
We are committed to supporting Colin’s family during this incredibly difficult time. In line with this commitment, Rocky View County Council has decided to match donations made to the GoFundMe page created in his honor: Fundraiser in Memorial for Colin Hough
“Contributions will provide much-needed support and comfort to Colin’s loved ones. We invite you to join us in this effort to make a meaningful difference,” said Reeve Kissel. “Matching these donations is one way we can extend our support and honor Colin’s memory. Together, we will find the resilience to move forward, keeping Colin's memory alive in our hearts. Your continued compassion mean more than words can express. Thank you for standing with us during this challenging period.”
Up to date information regarding this incident is available from the RCMP and can be found at Strathmore RCMP.
