Rocky View County’s STARS Support Recognized

Rocky View County has been recognized for reaching the $1 million milestone of overall support to STARS. During the July 17 Public Presentation Committee meeting, Glenda Farnden (centre) and Jackie Seely (left) from STARS presented a plaque to Rocky View County in recognition of our support and in appreciation of a 33-year partnership.
We are a municipal leader in supporting STARS so they are able to provide critical care and offer a robust health and safety network across the province, offering every option possible to our residents. Funding provided to STARS supports their emergency link centre, aircraft, medical services, and many additional innovative services. STARS brings the ICU environment to the scene of a patient, that saves time and lives. In 2023, 20 missions occurred within the Rocky View County area.
Since 1991, through an annual donation based on a per capita amount, the County has supported STARS as part of its ongoing commitment to public safety and emergency management.
