Winter Driving in the County

Rocky View County is well equipped to tackle its 5,000 lane kilometers of roads to keep them free of snow and ice throughout the winter.

Our winter plan focuses on two levels of roadways when prioritizing, and here’s how snow clearing priorities work:

  • Priority 1: Main service roads and/or roads that have the highest traffic volumes.
  • Priority 2: Roads with lower traffic volumes that connect to a main service road or serve subdivisions and local residential areas.

Our crews are ready to respond and help keep you moving—drive safe. Learn more at rockyview.ca/snowcontrol.
