Rocky View County awarded over $1 million to 53 non-profit organizations across the region through the Community Recreation and Culture Funding Grant program this spring.
The program supports the vital work community organizations do by helping them maintain facilities and deliver programming and initiatives that enrich the lives of Rocky View County residents.
“Funding for our core operations is a constant struggle’” said Mike Duszynski, Executive Director of Bragg Creek Trails. “We are truly grateful for this support from Rocky View County.”
Applicants reflected the diversity of Rocky View County’s communities, with requests supporting a wide range of projects, from emergency roof repairs to musical programming.
The funding is drawn from municipal reserves and revenue collected through the Recreation Tax Levy.
