The Government of Alberta is inviting residents to join a virtual town hall on AI data centres.
Interest in AI data centres is growing in the province, and Albertans can share input to shape Alberta’s data centre strategy.
Premier Danielle Smith and Minister of Technology and Innovation Nate Glubish will host a virtual town hall tonight, giving residents a chance to learn more about data centres and ask questions.
- Date: Thursday, August 27, 2026
- Time: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
- Where: Albertans can listen live and submit questions at Alberta.ca/datacentres/townhalls. The live listening link will be posted on the site one hour before the event starts.
Please note that this virtual town hall is being hosted by the Government of Alberta.
Rocky View County is continuing development of its own Emerging Sector Strategy – Technology & Energy Stream, with public engagement planned for late September 2026.
