Prepare for Wildfire Season with Upcoming Branch Collection Events

Rocky View County is encouraging residents to take simple, proactive steps to reduce wildfire risk this year.

FireSmart is a national program that teaches residents how to reduce fire fuel sources near their homes. This includes removing deadfall, cleaning gutters, and removing piles of wood next to your home.

Residents can bring eligible branch materials (branches up to six inches in diameter) to select transfer sites during the 2026 FireSmart Branch Collection Events.

On event days, multiple trips will be accepted for free. Please note that no stumps will be accepted.
