Rocky View County is a member of The Nose Creek Watershed Partnership (NCWP), which undertakes joint watershed planning addressing concerns regarding the future condition of Nose Creek and West Nose Creek.
The Partnership is currently represented by the Calgary Airport Authority, City of Airdrie, City of Calgary, Rocky View County, Town of Crossfield, and the Bow River Basin Council.
In 2018, the Partnership updated the Nose Creek Watershed Water Management Plan to protect riparian areas, improve stormwater management, and improve water quality in the Nose Creek watershed.
Attached is an update from the NCWP outlining their approach to implementing interim runoff volume control targets that reflect scientific principles.
