Help shape how tourism-related development is managed in Rocky View County

Rocky View County is undertaking a planning process to help guide where and how tourism-related development may be supported and managed across the County.

Tourism-related development may include outdoor recreation, trails, farm-based experiences, visitor accommodation, events, attractions, guided experiences and other activities that bring visitors to the County.

Your input will help the County understand local priorities, opportunities, concerns and criteria that should guide future planning related to tourism-related development. The project will consider how to balance tourism-related opportunities with agriculture, environmental stewardship, transportation safety, infrastructure capacity, and quality of life for residents.

Public and stakeholder input will play a vital role in the process. Residents, landowners, businesses and interested parties are encouraged to participate in Phase 1 engagement activities to help identify opportunities, concerns and community priorities.

The project is currently in Phase 1, focused on engagement and information gathering. Future phases will be informed by what is heard during this stage of the process.
