Financial Assistance Available For 2025 Flood Damages

If you live in Bragg Creek, Langdon, Janet or Conrich, and your home or business was damaged by flooding between July 13 and August 8, 2025, you may be eligible to receive financial assistance from the Government of Alberta.

The Hazard Assistance and Resilience Program (HARP) is a provincial program that provides funding for uninsurable property damage, loss and other expenses incurred as the result of a disaster.

HARP replaces Alberta’s former disaster assistance programs – the Disaster Recovery Program (DRP) and the Municipal Wildfire Assistance Program (MWAP).

The HARP does not cover costs, damage or losses that could have been covered by insurance. A local authority must first apply to the Alberta Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) for a HARP and if approved, individuals, small businesses and other public sector applicants may apply for assistance within the program.

Go to www.alberta.ca/HARP to learn more, download and submit your application form, and to find the most up-to-date program eligibility and guidelines.
Applications are made directly to the Government of Alberta through the Hazard Assistance and Resilience Program (HARP).

The deadline to apply is May 19, 2026.

Rocky View County is sharing information to help affected residents and businesses access the program, but the Province administers the program and determines eligibility.
