County Approves Langdon Recreation Grant Requests

Rocky View County’s Recreation Governance Committee (RGC) has approved $156,005 in funding for non-profit organizations in Langdon.

Five organizations applied for funding through the Langdon Recreation Grant program, and their requests were approved at the February 11, 2026, RGC meeting.

Requests for grant funding have increased steadily over the past three years due to population growth in Langdon and rising costs of facility maintenance.

The Langdon Recreation Grant program is funded through the Langdon Special Tax and helps local organizations maintain essential services and explore new opportunities for recreation in the community.

Funding was approved for the following:

  • Langdon Little League - $40,000 for maintenance expenses related to Langdon’s six ball diamonds
  • Langdon Community Association (operational) - $57,485 for Langdon Park and Fieldhouse operational expenses
  • Langdon Community Association (capital) - $27,605 for a new disc golf project
  • East Rocky View Pickleball Club - $1,600 for pickleball nets
  • Langdon Theatre Association - $24,250 for operational expenses
  • Synergy Youth & Community Development Society - $5,065 for rental fees

The total approved funding of $156,005 will be fully supported by the Langdon Special Tax, pending final approval of Rocky View County’s 2026 budget in April.
