Conrich Structure Fire Update

Final Update #4 Conrich Structure Fire, January 15, 5:00 p.m. 

The fire in the Cambridge area of Conrich is now fully under control.  

Two houses under construction have been extensively damaged, and three houses have sustained exterior damage. 

Roads in the area east of Range Road 285 and Cambridge Boulevard will reopen shortly, but the public is still encouraged to avoid the immediate area. 

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by Rocky View County and the RCMP.

We extend our appreciation to our Rocky View County responders, as well as the fire crews from Chestermere and Calgary Fire Services for their swift and coordinated efforts. 

Update #3 Conrich Structure Fire, January 15, 3:55 p.m. 

Rocky View County Fire Services considers the fire to be under control, and crews continue to work on hot spots. 

Members of the public are reminded to avoid the area. 

Update #2 Conrich Structure Fire, January 15, 3:25 p.m.

Rocky View County Fire Services has confirmed all residents are safe and have been evacuated.

The structure fire started in a home that was under construction. Fire crews from Rocky View County, Chestermere and Calgary continue working to contain the fire and are focused on exposure protection to adjacent properties. 

Update #1 Conrich Structure Fire, January 15, 3:10 p.m.

Rocky View County Fire Services is on scene responding to a structure fire in the Cambridge area of Conrich.

Fire crews from Rocky View County, Chestermere and Calgary are on seen working to contain the fire. Roads in the area east of Range Road 285 and Cambridge Boulevard are closed. Members of the public are advised to avoid the area and follow all directions from responders. 

Updates will be shared as more information is known.
