In accordance with section 194(1)(a) of the Municipal Government Act and section 23 of the Procedure Bylaw C-8555-2024, the Reeve may call a special Council meeting whenever the official considers it appropriate to do so. This serves as notice to Council under section 194(3) of the Municipal Government Act. This notice will be made available on the County's website to serve as notice to the public.
As Reeve of Rocky View County, I, Sunny Samra, hereby call for a special Council meeting to be held in Council Chambers at the County Hall located at 262075 Rocky View Point, and livestreamed via www.rockyview.ca, on the following date and time:
- Wednesday, September 16th, 2026, immediately following the conclusion of the Recreation Governance Committee Meeting
The purpose of the Special Council Meeting is to consider a “Personnel Matter” confidentially under the following sections of the Access to Information Act:
- Section 20 – Disclosure harmful to personal privacy
- Section 22 – Confidential evaluations
- Section 28 – Local public body confidences
