Learn how to make your property more drought tolerant.  Worried how the gardens will survive the water bans, and dry prairie conditions of Rocky view?   Have a brand-new yard and worried about buying plants that you may not be able to water? That’s a common concern.

Join Michelle a resident of Rocky view for over 22 years and 4 th generation Alberta gardener and owner of Aris Landscape Design inc. 

let’s create a water wise garden that will stand the test of time and drought. Water wise doesn’t have to bee weedy or wild you can accomplish this with a clean and creative look.
Expert Landscape Designer and Certified Horticulturalist Michelle Aris will have you laughing and learning during this fun and hands on workshop.  

This is a 2-part series 

Part 1 

  • March 15 review of Drought Tolerant Plants for the Prairies and planting plans (Join both or just one)
  • 2-330pm at Rocky View County Hall (Provided approved)

Part 2 

  • April 12 10-1230
  • Meet at Bluegrass Garden centre
  • For hands on drought prevention Plant selection and then a tour of a 
    Water wise yard in Airdrie featuring sedum sod and self-watering rain channels 
    Designed by Michelle Aris.  

Participants will gain valuable knowledge 
On types of plants best used in water wise designs, techniques for planting as well as how to capture rainwater and other money saving garden ideas.
