About
Councillor Kevin Hanson represents Division 1, which includes Springbank, Elbow Valley, and Bragg Creek. A professional engineer with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and an Executive MBA from the University of Calgary, Kevin brings a thoughtful, data-driven approach to municipal decision-making.
He is deeply involved in community issues such as flood recovery, land-use planning, and regional collaboration, including work with the Tsuut’ina Nation. Kevin is committed to environmental stewardship and resilient infrastructure. Outside of Council, he enjoys outdoor adventures, cycling, woodworking, and volunteering in his local residents’ association.
