- To clean common and pedigreed seed to the highest standards
- Crop improvement through the prevention and control of improving the quality of seed
- Promote up-to-date methods of applying seed treatment chemicals for control of diseases and insects
- Maintain the standards and methods of producing true-to-type, high quality seed

Term/Expiry
- One (1) Council rep for a four (4) year term
Meetings
- Approximately three (3) to four (4) two hour meetings per year at the call of the Chair
