Role of Committee

The Partnership Advisory Committee guides the Alternative Land Use Services (ALUS) program in Rocky View County. The Alternative Land Use Services program provides support to farmers and ranchers to enhance and maintain ecosystems. Committee members provide advice and community input into the decision-making process.

The Committee’s responsibilities include:

• Review and decide on potential agricultural producer/landowner projects based on Alternative Land Use Services principles.
• Establish payment structure/amounts for each agricultural producer/landowner project.
• Monitor demonstration parcels to ensure continued conformance with landowner agreements.
• Promote Alternative Land Use Services in Rocky View County.

Membership

• Meetings will follow regularly scheduled Agricultural Service Board meetings
