Employment with Rocky View Fire Services is challenging and rewarding. Fire Services proudly serves our growing and vibrant County with a composite fire suppression model made up of career full-time, part-time, and paid-per-call members.

Rocky View Fire Services maintains four full-time composite fire stations in Springbank, Elbow Valley, Balzac, and Bearspaw, and three paid-per-call stations in Langdon, Irricana, and Madden. The Fire Services team consists of approximately 110 part-time firefighters, 120 paid-per-call firefighters, 24 full-time firefighters, four battalion captains, two deputy chiefs, and a fire chief.
General Requirements
Minimum requirements for all firefighters:
- 18 years of age or older
- Physically fit
- Non-GDL driver’s licence
- Clean criminal record, medical clearance, and driver’s abstract
- Standard First Aid and CPR ‘C’ certificate
