Transit

Rocky View County doesn't have a formal transit system, but is in close proximity to the City of Calgary transit system and other chartered bus services for commuters.

Rocky View Handi Bus

Rocky View is serviced by the Rocky View Regional Handi Bus. This is a rural charity that operates wheelchair-accessible vehicles for the area. This is a shared-ride service available to residents for medical appointments, and basic services such as grocery shopping or banking.

The Handi Bus operates all throughout Rocky View County. Destinations for service include:

• Chestermere
• Airdie
• Cochrane
• Calgary

• Monday to Friday, 7:30 a.m to 4:00 p.m.
• Fares vary with distance.

Charter Bus Services

• Red Arrow Bus Lines offers bus service to Edmonton, Red Deer, and Fort McMurray.
• Brewster Transportation and Pacific Western Transportation offer regular and charter bus services from Calgary International Airport to Calgary's downtown as well as Banff, Lake Louise, Jasper, Red Deer, and Edmonton.

Commuter Bus Services

• The Airdrie Intercity Express is a weekday connection between the cities of Airdrie and Calgary. The service runs from Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays).
• First Student Commuter provides service to and from Airdrie and Calgary, Crossfield and Airdrie, and Strathmore and Chestermere.
• Southland Transportation offers weekday commuter service to and from Cochrane and downtown Calgary.
• A transit route from Airdrie to CrossIron Mills and Calgary operates daily.
