Rocky View County has launched Budget 2026 Engagement, inviting residents to provide input on priorities for the first year of the County’s new four-year strategic budget cycle. This engagement effort focuses on immediate service needs while setting the stage for long-term planning.
Running to November 30, 2025, the 2026 Budget survey gives residents the chance to weigh in on local services, community priorities, and proposed capital investments that will support our community for generations. Full details and the survey are available at engage.rockyview.ca.
This year’s engagement places a strong emphasis on education and awareness. It offers residents a clearer understanding of how the County’s budget process works and highlights proposed investments in areas such as road infrastructure, fire services, utilities, recreation, and community support. It also provides an opportunity to share perspectives on operating services and future needs.
Public input plays an important role in ensuring County services align with community expectations and values. Feedback collected through the survey will be summarized in a What We Heard Report, which will be shared with Council ahead of the Special Council Meeting on December 4 and 5. Residents who wish to speak directly to Council about budget priorities are invited to participate in the public presentation portion of the meeting on December 5 at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers (262075 Rocky View Point). Learn more about presenting here.
The survey will close November 30, 2025. Residents are encouraged to take part and help guide the decisions that shape the County’s future.
