Strong Gusting Wind Conditions Today, Burning Caution Notice to Community

Residents are asked to refrain from all outdoor burning as a precaution to help protect residents, property, and surrounding natural areas. All existing permitted fires must be fully extinguished as permits are no longer valid when winds exceed 12km/h.

Please ensure no fires are left unattended and that all previous fires are completely extinguished before leaving the area. Fires should be extinguished using the “soak, stir, soak and monitor” method to confirm they are fully out.

If you encounter a downed power line or damaged utility infrastructure, keep a safe distance and report it immediately to your utility provider:
