Road Bans

The current 2024 Spring Road Bans posted along Rocky View County roads were lifted on June 3, 2024 at 12:00 AM with some exceptions.

All paved and gravel roads (with some exceptions) are returned to 100% of legal carrying axle weight.

All chip-sealed and oil-surfaced roads (with some exceptions) are returned to 90% of legal carrying axle weight.

Road bans apply to commercial and heavy vehicles, including agricultural loads or equipment.

Passenger and recreational vehicles are exempt from road bans.

Road bans help extend the lifespan of the County’s roads, including reducing road repair costs, and make it safer for motorists.

A list of the current road bans can be found here.
