The Hamlet of Delacour was named for the foreman of the Grand Trunk Railway, a Mr. De Lacour. A small store and local postal service was established about 1914. The Delacour hall was constructed in 1927 until a fire destroyed it in 1978.
In 1982, a new large two storey hall was built. The hall continues to serve the area keeping community spirit alive.
