Online payment by credit card is now available for building and subtrade permits only. If your permit or inspection fee is issued after August 15, 2020, you will receive an email with a custom link to make an online payment. If you have a balance owing from before August 15, please email building@rockyview.ca to request access to the online payment system.

Permit fees will be calculated as part of the administrative review, and must be paid before your application proceeds to a technical review. No construction, including foundation or excavation work can begin until the appropriate permit has been issued.

Failure to obtain proper permits before starting construction can result in costly delays, legal action and/or the removal of work already completed. Anyone who starts construction without a permit may be subject to a penalty of 200 per cent of the original permit fee or $400, whichever is greater.
