The Hamlet of Dalroy has a small community hall which serves as a local meeting place and is located at RR7, LCD 1.

    The facility has ongoing events and features Olympic and NHL sized ice rinks, a curling rink, baseball diamonds, soccer fields, an outdoor corral and a lounge.

Fire Stations

Dalroy is serviced by Langdon Fire Station 111 which is a volunteer station providing fire coverage for the southeast area of the County. Fire response may also be provided by Irricana Fire Station 108.

History

The Hamlet of Dalroy came into being when Mr. George Rheder built the first store, post office and lumber store in about 1909. The CP Rail line came through the hamlet in 1910.

The first Dalroy school was built in 1916 and closed in 1949 when the building was moved to Kathyrn. The first elevator was built in 1917. The post office closed in 1968 when rural delivery began.

Dalroy has a playground, and an equestrian park. It is close to amenities in the nearby hamlets of Delacour and Langdon, and the Town of Chestermere.

The County currently does not provide water servicing in Dalroy. Water service is by private water wells.

Wastewater

Wastewater servicing is through private septic systems or pump-out systems, and connections to the County's East Rocky View septic services.
