Dog Licensing

All dogs over three months of age residing in Rocky View County must have a valid dog licence. Dog licences are valid for one year. All licences expire at the end of December each year.

Dogs at Large

Dogs are considered at large when they are not under the restraint, care and control of their owner. Dog owners must keep control of their dog when off their property in both rural and urban areas.

Responsible Pet Ownership

Rocky View County promotes responsible pet ownership through educating the public on animal related issues and enforcement of the County’s Animal Control Bylaw. Residents are asked to do their part in ensuring their animals are healthy pets and companions.
