Langdon Recreation Grant

Does your non-profit group provide recreation programs, amenities or events exclusively within the hamlet of Langdon? The Langdon Recreation Grant Program can provide resources to assist.

The annual application deadline is November 15. Completed applications must be received by Recreation and Community Support no later than 4:00 pm on the deadline day. When the deadline falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, the deadline is extended to the next business day. Important Note:

• For 2021, there will be a single (November) grant application intake. Applications will be considered at the first Recreation and Governance Committee meeting in 2022. Please plan your annual budgets and grant requests accordingly.

Available Funding

• A maximum of $50,000 shall be considered per Recreation Facility per year for capital projects.
• A maximum of $40,000 per year shall be considered for:
  • Annual Program funding; or
  • Annual Operating and Maintenance of Recreation Infrastructure

Application Requirements

• Applications shall only be accepted for Recreational Services programs or projects, as defined in this policy and must occur within the Hamlet of Langdon boundaries
• Projects and programs must first service Langdon Residents.
• Applicants must be non-profit community organizations that reside in Langdon or the County acting as an agent on behalf of the Hamlet of Langdon.

Applicants must also provide:

• A completed Project Completion and Financial Report (DOCX) if funding has been provided in past years; (email recreation@rockyview.ca if a report form is required)
• A completed Langdon Recreation Grant Program Application (DOCX); and
• Copies of three quotes or estimates for each initiative/project component (if applicable);
• A copy of the organization’s most recent financial statements – audited, if available, (information required is outlined by Service Alberta at https://www.servicealberta.ca/financial-reporting.cfm);
• Annual budget for next fiscal year; and
• List of organization’s officers and directors

Application Review Process and Timelines

• November 15 (4 p.m.): Cut-off date for grant requests. Please email your application and all supporting documentation to recreation@rockyview.ca.
• November: All requests will be reviewed by Administration.
• February The Recreation Governance Committee, as the approving authority for funding, will approve grants. Applicants will be advised of the Committee’s decision.

Not all eligible projects may receive funding.
