Are you a registered or incorporated non-profit group that offers recreation programs, amenities or events exclusively within the hamlet of Langdon? The Langdon Recreation Grant Program can provide resources to assist.

Available Funding

  • A maximum of $50,000 shall be considered per non-profit organization per year for capital projects.
  • A maximum of $40,000 shall be considered per non-profit organization per year for operational and maintenance expenses.

Application Deadline

November 15, 4:30 pm. When the deadline falls on a weekend or statutory holiday, the deadline is extended to the next business day.

Application Requirements

  • Applications shall only be accepted for Recreational Services programs or projects, as defined in this policy and must occur within the Hamlet of Langdon boundaries
  • Projects and programs must first service Langdon Residents.
  • Applicants must be non-profit community organizations that reside in Langdon or the County acting as an agent on behalf of the Hamlet of Langdon.

Application Review Process and Timelines

  • November 15 (4:30 p.m.): Application is submitted to recreation@rockyview.ca and reviewed for compliance with the Policy.
  • February: Accepted applications are presented to the Recreation Governance Committee (RGC) for consideration. The RGC’s decisions are final. All funding approvals will be pending the Langdon Special Tax Bylaw approval in April.
  • April: The Langdon Special Tax Bylaw is presented to Council for approval. Should the Bylaw be approved, all funding requests conditionally approved in February will be confirmed and the applicants will be notified.
  • July: All approved operational funding is released. Capital funding is reimbursed by submission of the receipts.

Not all eligible projects may receive funding.
