Rocky View County Crop Reporting

To obtain representative local data Rocky View County Agricultural and Environmental Services has surveyed fields throughout the County and reached out to several producers located in the following regions of the County: east central, southeast, northeast, west central, southwest, and northwest. The survey included a condition assessment for annual crops (wheat, barley, canola) and perennials including tame hay and pasture.

Moisture deficiencies, along with extreme heat early in the growing season, have resulted in annual and perennial crop deficiencies, stock water shortages, and degrading pastures.  Some areas (particularly the east side) have been impacted more than others.

The County has been and will continue to complete crop assessments for the growing season.
