You may know Cleanfarms for their collection programs for agricultural containers, totes and seed, pesticide and inoculant bags. But did you know they also collect unwanted agricultural pesticides and old livestock, equine, and poultry medications? The program rotates around the country every three years and will be coming to Southern Alberta in Fall 2021.
Dates and locations will be announced this summer, and farmers who have material for disposal should safely store the products on-farm until the scheduled collection date. Go to the Cleanfarms website for steps to ensure that your unused pesticides & medications can be returned and to watch for collection dates.
