Clubroot 101 Webinar

Clubroot is a soil-borne disease of cruciferous crops (canola) which causes swellings or galls to form on the roots, and ultimately causes a premature death of the plant. There is currently no treatment for this disease but it is possible to reduce its severity by using best management practices.

Learn how to prevent and manage clubroot like a pro from the pros during a webinar on Monday, November 30 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Topics include seed breeding, canola genetics, research, and preventing clubroot before it becomes problematic. Presenters include Aaron Van Beers (Leduc County), Dr. Stephen Strelkov (University of Alberta), Dan Stanton (Corteva), and Leighton Blashko (B.A.S.F). Email hmusterer@county24.com to register and receive the link to attend.
