Cochrane Lake Road Update

Update on Cochrane Lake Trail Road Work – September 29, 2025

Rocky View County is not satisfied with the outcome of the recent chip-seal work that was completed on Cochrane Lake Trail. While the intent of this road work was to maintain the road base, the County acknowledges that the outcome does not meet our expected standards for the road network.

In the short term, the County will continue maintenance by sweeping away any loose gravel chips that remain on the road. The County also recognizes that long-term improvements are needed for this 58-year-old roadway.

As part of the 2026 Capital Budget process, this project has been identified as a priority. The County is planning an Open House in November to support these important community discussions. Details about the engagement will be shared in the coming weeks through the County e-newsletter, website, social media, and a direct mail invitation. Additionally, residents can sign up for an email update by reaching out to engagement@rockyview.ca.

Together, we can help shape the future of Cochrane Lake’s infrastructure and services.
