Time to Complete Your Environmental Farm Plans

The Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) is a voluntary, whole farm, self-assessment tool that helps producers identify their environmental risks and develop plans to mitigate identified risks. We are working together with farmers committed to environmental stewardship.

Completing an EFP is free and all information is confidential. There are also many benefits in completing an EFP including:

  • Improving farm health and safety
  • Building acceptance of the operation among neighbours and the public
  • Increasing personal satisfaction and knowledge
  • Adding value to the farm property
  • Agricultural sustainability

Now is the time to complete your Environmental Farm Plans as the Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a five-year, $3 billion investment, will come into effect on April 1, 2018. In order to receive grant funding through this program, having a completed Environmental Farm Plan may be a prerequisite.

Rocky View County has technicians available to assist you with completing your EFP, if you are interested in setting up a time to meet contact Delaney McNaughton at or 403-520-3952.
