Under Rocky View County’s system, a Reeve and Deputy Reeve are chosen by councillors from among their council, each year during the Council Organizational Meeting. These positions are for a one-year term. Therefore, in the Municipal Election, residents vote only for their councillor.

New for 2025, all voters must already be registered in the County’s Permanent Electors Register in order to vote. Voters may complete the required paperwork to register for the Permanent Electors Register at a voting station. If you voted in a recent provincial election, you’re likely already registered. Voters are encouraged to confirm their registration status at VoterLink.
