The Fire Services Master Plan (PDF) was developed for the County and Fire Services to establish long-term strategies based on community risk, safety, corporate priorities, and Council-approved budget allocations. This document is used as a tool to evaluate and forecast immediate and future emergency service needs of the community. It was received by Council for information purposes on April 5, 2022.
Rocky View County is currently developing a new Fire Master Plan to help guide the future of fire service delivery across the County. The Fire Master Plan is part of a broader Fire Policy Framework that will help integrate fire service planning into the County's long-term planning, growth management, budgeting, and decision-making processes.
Engagement Opportunities
The County is seeking public feedback on key topics that will help inform the development of the Fire Master Plan, including:
- Proposed Fire Master Plan vision and goals
- Factors that may trigger service level reviews
- Proposed approach to a Fire Offsite Levy Bylaw
- Current and future service levels
- Community risk profiles
Feedback can be provided through an online survey at Fire Services Master Plan | Your View until July 24, 2026. Residents are also encouraged to attend an upcoming Open House to learn more, ask questions, and share feedback with County staff and Fire Services representatives.
