County Awards Over $411,495 in Community Recreation Funding Grants

Rocky View County’s Recreation Governance Committee has awarded community grants to 22 organizations, totaling $184,815 in operational requests and $226,680 in capital requests, through the Community Recreation Funding Program.
During the December 6, 2023 Recreation Governance Committee meeting, the County awarded community grants to a various of community based organizations within the 2023 budget.
The following requests were approved for operational expenses:
- Swamp Donkey Musical Theatre Society $35,000
- Jumping Pound Community Hall $7,100
- Springbank Heritage Club $30,000
- Bike Cochrane $1,500
- Dartique Community Association $13,500
- Keoma Community Society $8,500
- Meadowlark Trail Society $5,000
- 1st Bow Valley Scouts (Scouts Canada) $20,000
- North Rocky View Community Links Society $1,615
- Beiseker Minor Hockey Association $17,870
- Chestermere Curling Association $6,500
- Cochrane Route 22 Artist Collective Ltd.$ 7,500
- Crossfield Playschool Association $1,600
- Irricana Curling Club $18,000
- Strathmore Lacrosse Club $11,130

- Bearspaw Lions Club: $25,000
- Balzac Community Hall: $23,220
- Bow Valley Community Club: $70,060
- Cambridge Park Homeowners’ Association: $50,000
- Cochrane BMX Association: $34,360
- Dartique Community Hall Association: $17,940
- Beiseker & District Agricultural Society: $6,100
