Rocky View County Council Begins CAO Search

In an ongoing commitment to transparency and effective governance, Rocky View County Council would like to provide an update regarding recent changes to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) position.
At a Special Meeting held on August 14, 2023, Council voted unanimously to part ways with Mr Wandzura and appointed Mr. Byron Riemann as Acting CAO. With his extensive experience, Mr. Riemann will ensure stable leadership during this period of transition.
Given the importance of the CAO role and the time it will take fill this position, Council will consider potential candidates in September to serve as Interim CAO until a permanent CAO is hired. This step is to ensure uninterrupted services for County operations as the search for a CAO is being conducted. The County remains focused on serving it residents and stakeholders efficiently.
