Planning and Development
- Division 3 – File: PL20220136 (06812058), Bylaw C-8392-2023, Redesignation Item: To redesignate the subject lands from Residential, Rural District (p4.0) to Residential, Rural District to facilitate future subdivision of one new lot. Considered under the Bearspaw Area Structure Plan. Approved as amended.
- Division 3 – File: PL20220216 (06812014), Bylaw C-8399-2023, Redesignation Item: To redesignate the subject lands from Agriculture, Small Parcel District (p8.1) to Residential, Rural District to facilitate future subdivision of two new lots. Considered under the Bearspaw Area Structure Plan. Council referred this item back to Administration, to work with the Applicant on the preparation of a lot and road plan showing access to the Green Valley Estates area in consultation with adjacent landowners and those affected nearby.
- Division 1 – File: PL20220188 (04606081), Bylaw C-8398-2023, DC District Amendment Item: An amendment to Direct Control District (DC-13) to allow for the private swimming pool permitted use on Unit 3, Plan 9813459 within SW-06-24-02-W05M. Considered under the Elbow Valley Area Structure Plan. Approved.
- Council then approved a motion arising, directing Administration to review and prepare amendments to Direct Control District (DC-13) to permit private swimming pools for all parcels within this district, to be presented to Council for consideration no later than January 31, 2024.
- Division 7 – File: PL20220142 (03222412), Bylaw C-8401-2023, DC District Amendment Item: A textual amendment to Section 2.3.0 of Direct Control District (DC-64) to add Child Care Facility as a discretionary use on Unit 38, Plan 0411285 within NE-22-23-27-W04M. Considered under the Langdon Area Structure Plan. Approved.
Closed Session
- Council moved into a closed session to consider the confidential item “CAO Review” under Section 19 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Council moved back into the public session with no follow-up action.
- Council moved into a closed session to consider the confidential item “Cochrane Recreation Project” under Sections 21 and 24 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Council moved back into the public session and voted that the report for RVC2023-16 be received for information.
- Council moved into a closed session to consider the confidential item “Janet Area Structure Plan: CMRB Approval Process” under Sections 21 and 24 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Council moved back into the public session and directed Administration to withdraw the CMRB Regional Evaluation Framework application 2023-05 for the Janet Area Structure Plan (ASP), and to additionally examine policy for future service commitments in the Janet ASP no later than July 31, 2023.
