Highway 1A & Range Road 22 Interchange Project – Permanent Closure of Range Road 43

As part of the Highway 1A and 22 Interchange project, access to Range Road 43 (RR 43) at Highway 22 will be permanently closed on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.
- Permanent closure of the roadway access is needed because the Range Road 43 intersection will overlap with the exit and entrance ramps of the new interchange. The timing of the closure will allow the interchange contractor to safely proceed with the required earthworks and drainage construction work in the area.
- Access from Highway 22 to Ranche Road will remain open at this time. This access will be closed at a future date in the construction process.
Travellers, workers, and residents currently using Range Road 43 can use the following alternative routes to access the area:
- Highway 22 via Cochrane Lake Road
- Highway 1A via Township Road 262 and Horse Creek Road
