  • Council approved the award of the budgeted 2022 Specialized Transportation Grant funds totaling $303,500 the Rocky View Regional Handibus Society to allow them to continue to support County residents facing transportation barriers in accessing community supports and services.
  • Council denied the request for late tax payment penalty cancellation from the owner of Tax Roll 03331043 in accordance with Late Tax Payment Penalty Cancellation Policy C-204.
  • Council denied the request for late tax payment penalty cancellation from the owner of Tax Roll 04225008 in accordance with Late Tax Payment Penalty Cancellation Policy C-204.
  • Council denied the request for late tax payment penalty cancellation from the owner of Tax Roll 08120001 in accordance with Late Tax Payment Penalty Cancellation Policy C-204.
  • Council denied the request for late tax payment penalty cancellation from the owner of Tax Rolls 06404481 and 6404239 in accordance with Late Tax Payment Penalty Cancellation Policy C-204.

  • Council denied the request for late tax payment penalty cancellation from the owner of Tax Roll 05736204 in accordance with Late Tax Payment Penalty Cancellation Policy C-204.
  • Council denied the request for late tax payment penalty cancellation from the owner of Tax Roll 06710019 in accordance with Late Tax Payment Penalty Cancellation Policy C-204.

  • Council received, for information, an update on the 2022 Council Priorities and Significant Issues list, including all active, ongoing and pending priorities and initiatives to assist council on the status of business items.
  • Council approved a motion first read into the record on October 25, 2022 directing Administration to create a Terms of Reference for an Aggregate Resource Plan, including a cost estimate based on a completion date of no later than October 31, 2024. Administration is also directed to return to Council with a report no later than March 31, 2023.

(PL20200057) To redesignate ± 51.13 hectares (± 126.34 acres) from Agricultural, General District to ± 14.75 hectares (± 36.45 acres) of Business, Regional Campus District (B-REG), ± 40.00 hectares (± 98.83 acres) of Industrial, Light District, ± 0.98 hectares (± 2.43 acres) of Special, Natural Open Space District, ± 3.81 hectares (± 9.42 acres) of Special, Parks and Recreation District, and ± 5.21 hectares (± 12.87 acres) of Special, Public Service District. First Reading approved.
  • Division 3 – File PL20220003/04 (06708015/08/09/14/13/03/10/06), Bylaw C-8345-2022 and Bylaw C-8346-2022, Redesignation and Conceptual Scheme Items: (PL20220003; Rolls 06708015/08/09/14/13/03/10/06) To adopt the Glendale Road Conceptual Scheme that provides a policy framework to guide future redesignation, subdivision for country residential development within the SE-08-26-03-W05M. (PL20220004; Rolls 06708015/08) To redesignate ± 24.40 hectares (± 60.30 acres) of land from Agricultural, Small Parcel District and Residential, Rural District (p4.0) to residential, Country Residential District and Special, Public Service District, to facilitate the development of Phase 1 to create 24 residential lots and 1 public utility lot. First Reading approved.
  • Division 5 – File: PL20220083 (06226001), Bylaw C-8330-2022, Redesignation Item: To redesignate the subject lands from Agriculture, General District to Residential, Rural District to facilitate the creation of a ±2.87 hectare (±7.1 acre) parcel with ± 22.79 hectare (±56.32 acre) remainder. First Reading approved.
  • Division 4 – File: PL20220092 (07607001), Bylaw C-8324-2022, Redesignation Item: To redesignate the subject lands from Agricultural, General District to Business, Agricultural District (p1.9) to facilitate the addition of a cannabis processing use to an existing cannabis cultivation facility. First Reading approved.

Closed Session

  • Council moved into a closed session to consider the confidential item “Utility Right-of-Way Access: Cochrane North” under Sections 24 and 25 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Council moved back into the public session and moved that Administration be directed to offer a cost contribution agreement to an additional developer in the Cochrane Lakes area per scenario 2, as outlined in confidential report RVC2022-25.
  • Council moved into a closed session to consider the confidential item “2023 Budget Update” under Section 24 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Council moved back into the public session with no follow up action.
  • Council moved into a closed session to consider the confidential item “Annexation Update” under Sections 21, 24 and 25 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. Council moved back into the public session with no follow up action.
