County Peace Officers Assist with Traffic Control at CrossIron Mall

With Christmas just around the corner, shopping activity shifts into high gear and CrossIron Mall will see more traffic.

Rocky View County Peace Officers will be on hand to assist guests by controlling traffic lights and intersections to ease any strains. The officers on duty are not funded by tax payers, and the work does not pull them away from duties elsewhere.

While on this special duty, a Peace Officer’s main role is to primarily ease traffic congestion and ensure public safety. Peace Officers are not looking to issue tickets, but they also can’t ignore obvious violations.

The County reminds everyone to be safe and courteous this holiday shopping season.
