Draft 2021 Budget

The draft of Rocky View County’s 2021 Budget, which calls for a 0% tax increase next year following a 3% reduction this year, is now available for review. If you have any comments about the budget we want to hear from you.

If you have questions or comments please send them by email to, or call us to provide your feedback at 403-230-1401. To ensure your comments can be properly considered by Council, please send them by 7 a.m. on Monday, November 30.

On Monday, November 30, starting at 9 a.m., Council will receive presentations on the draft budget at a special Council Meeting. You can watch the presentations at If additional time is needed, the presentations will continue on Tuesday, December 1, starting at 1 p.m.

There will be time set aside on December 1 at or after 1:00 p.m. for public comments. Please note that this is not a question-and-answer opportunity – any questions should be sent by email in advance. Instead, Council will be looking for your presentation on where the County can do more, do less, or where we have things just right. There is a five-minute limitation on each presentation, or 10 minutes if you have authorization to speak on behalf of a group (unless extended by Council resolution).

Due to COVID-19 restrictions and concerns, Rocky View County STRONGLY encourages submissions by email rather than in person.  The County will attempt to accommodate telephone or Internet video conferencing for members of the public who wish to make a presentation remotely.  Requests to participate in this way must be made before Monday, November 30, at 4 p.m. by calling the Municipal Clerk's Office at 403-520-8197.  Telephone or Internet video conferencing cannot be guaranteed as a method of providing input -- written submissions are preferred.
