Water disruption in Cochrane Lake - Thursday September 25

Update #2 - Final -11:00 a.m.

Water service has now been restored to residents in the community of Cochrane Lake, including fire hydrants. If you experienced the outage, please run your taps for a few minutes before using the water to help clear any air that may be in the lines.

The disruption was caused by a computer programming malfunction at the Cochrane Lake water treatment plant. At this time, further outages are not expected.

Rocky View County apologizes for the inconvenience this may have caused and thanks residents for their patience this morning. Should you have any questions, please contact the County at 403-230-1401.

Update #1 - 8:30am

At approximately 6:30am today, Thursday September 25, 2025,  Rocky View County was notified of water disruption in Cochrane Lake. Technicians are responding to determine the cause. Unfortunately at this time we don’t have an estimated time of water resuming to normal service.

We will continue to update the community with information as it is known.
