Westbrook School Celebrates New Playground with Community Partners

Reeve Crystal Kissel and Deputy Reeve Don Kochan recently attended the Grand Opening of Westbrook School’s newly installed playground, a project made possible through strong local partnerships and community support.

The Friends of Westbrook School Society, a parent-run volunteer group, worked alongside Rocky View Schools, residents, and community partners to raise funds for the redevelopment. The new space features updated equipment and improved accessibility, creating a safe and welcoming environment for both students and the broader community.

Rocky View County contributed capital funding toward the project to Rocky View Schools on behalf of the Friends of Westbrook School Society. This contribution helped cover approximately 40 per cent of the total project cost.

This revitalized space will serve as a safe, accessible, and fun gathering place for students and families for many years to come.

Westbrook School is located in Division 4 of Rocky View County.
